Dates of employment for the season can be somewhat flexible but generally are from late-October through early- to mid-March.

As a member of the Event Crew, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, offering an enthusiastic and friendly welcome, selling and checking tickets as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the attraction. Other functions may include, working in the gift shop, parking attendant, taking pictures of guests, and other general guest services.
HOURS: Full or part time hours from the end of December through end of the season. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. Shifts typically are 4-6 hrs in length, but could be 8 hours occasionally.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work outside with various weather conditions. Ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to respond to emergency situations. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Ice Castles is an awe-inspiring, must-see winter phenomenon that brings fairytales to life. The frozen attraction is located in six cities across North America. Ice Castles is built entirely by hand using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, and fountains.
We prefer a full-time year-round applicant but will consider part-time seasonal as well. Must be meticulous, dependable and personable.
Responsible for servicing all LGRCVB conventions, sporting tournaments and meetings. Works with Sales Manager, Reunion/Sports Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, and meeting planners to determine servicing requirements and other support needed by event/volunteer planners and attendees. This position contributes to development and delivery of meeting/convention services, which will exceed client expectations.
Contributes to the overall performance of the sales/services department.
Responds to requests for information or promotional material and enters that information into the CRM.
Acts as liaison between planner and service providers; offers suggestions/referrals and assistance planning for entertainment, tours, shopping, partner programs and other attractions.
Responsible for maintaining both member/partner and client database.
Working with marketing coordinator, ensures that the LGRCVB branding guidelines are incorporated into marketing messages and promotional materials.
Provides monthly services activity information for inclusion in Departments activity report to Board of Directors.
Responsible for tracking and reconciling monthly inventory of services materials through the shared documents. Maintains updates/services inventory and collateral.
Along with Marketing Coordinator, responsible for design and launch of conference microsites.
Responsible for all client follow-up at the close of each event (after action reports).
Duties/Responsibilities: Event Services and Support
Assists with preparation of trade shows and hosted events where applicable.
Assists Marketing Coordinator with monthly Partner meetings, Partner News, blogs, Client News.
Build and maintain relationships with meeting planners and provides services/member referrals to convention and meeting planners who are scheduled to bring groups into the area.
Represent LGRCVB at community functions when required.
Assists with preparation of event materials, such as preparing Welcome Lake George Area attendee bags, name tags, welcome signs, restaurant listing, personalized Calendar of Events and coordination of welcome tables where applicable.
Enters all contacts or commitments with planners into CRM.
Assists the convention sales and services department to develop service packages for upcoming and future conventions and sporting tournaments.
Assists Marketing Coordinator with development of attendance-building strategies in conjunction with the use of internet-based technologies and include social media.
Assists Marketing Coordinator with specific conference marketing and advertising campaigns by preparation of marketing and advertising strategies, plans and objectives.
Assists brides with Albany information/services/referrals based on their wedding needs.
Performs other duties and assists with other LGRCVB projects as assigned.
Never represents either the meeting planner or service provider in fee negotiations.
Extensive knowledge of PCs along with excellent computer skills including Microsoft office and Adobe
Experience with internet search engines for convention research
Good oral and written communication skills
